Our Reverse Mortgage Expert and CEO is Mr. Nelson Locke, Past President of the Florida Association of Mortgage Brokers (2003-2004) and known throughout Florida for hosting the public television show called "Ask Mr. Mortgage". He does an informational spot on the popular Steve Kane Show, talking about Reverse Mortgages daily at 8:00 AM on AM 1470. He is also heard daily on Gospel Radio AM 1490 – WMBM in Miami and other stations around the country.
Nelson is one of the Reverse Mortgage Industry's best-known veterans and has been in the business since 1994. He has helped thousands of Seniors over the years.
He was a member of NRMLA's first Board of Directors. He has been teaching Brokers about Reverse Mortgage for years, recently founding the 1,000 member Association of Reverse Mortgage Specialists, Inc. He serves as its President and Chief Course Designer. In 2005, he created a course for FAMB titled "Understanding Reverse Mortgages" which is now taught frequently throughout the state. In 2006 he created the "Senior Money Matters" podcasts about Reverse Mortgages (in plain English for easier understanding).
A Marine Corps veteran, he has a BA degree from Cal State and should graduate from Concord Law School in 2010, Juris Doctor. He recently took and passed the California Bar FYLSE, and has taken and passed the rigorous Multi-state Professional Responsibility Exam. Charles Kluck serves as the company's Executive Vice President and is a traditional and reverse finance expert. For over 30 years, Charlie has been helping Floridians with what we often call "forward mortgages", and he now helps seniors solve their problems as well. We call upon his expertise daily to help with title issues and other operational roadblocks to keep you on your way to a smooth and efficient experience with Value Financial. He is well versed in purchase money, reverse, and commercial lending. Charlie is also a Registered Financial Planner. Linda Kluck is the company's President and Post Closing Senior Manager. She is also a HECM Underwriter - with over 20 years of mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing experience. Linda worked extensively in the traditional mortgage market until the late 90's, when she decided to focus on serving the senior market. She is a HUD expert and has helped hundreds of Seniors enjoy the benefits of the plan. Her duties now involve post closing activities such as getting your loan insured by HUD. Jon Gordon is the company's Vice President of Operations. He is responsible for the daily operations of our closing department, and has oversight responsibility for our processing and opening team. He is a highly qualified Residential Reverse Mortgage Specialist. Most recently he led our Correspondent Department. Jon was educated at Florida International University, and holds a Marketing Degree. He joined the Value Financial team in 2002 and works closely with Nelson and Charlie. jgordon@valuefinancial.net
Theresa Beam is our principal HECM Underwriter. Theresa joined us after
a long career with banking institutions underwriting traditional "forward" FHA and conventional loans. Theresa has been an FHA Underwriter for years, and has special expertise in collateral review. A long time area resident, she is eager to help you qualify for your HECM. Rebecca Rottman is our AVP and Correspondent Department Manager.
She joined Value Financial in 2003. Rebecca has years of experience working with south Florida seniors. She was personally trained by Nelson and Linda. A happy person, Rebecca understands the process well and is very good at monitoring her client's progress from start to finish! She started with us as a processor, and knows how to successfully assemble HECMs. Then she continued to excel as a successful Residential Reverse Mortgage Specialist. We just promoted her to AVP of our Correspondent Department. Andrew Milks is our AVP of Special Projects and LGS. He is also home-grown,
graduating from processor to Reverse Mortgage Specialist to his current
position as our guru of direct marketing and other matters. LGS, by the way, refers to Value's proprietary lead generation system which Andrew developed. If you work here, you know what that means.
